Close Encounter of the 3D Shape Kind

Year 5 have been very busy with their 3D shape challenge today. Some aliens in the form of nets landed in Maple's classroom over the weekend and the children had to construct them to find out which 3D shapes the aliens were ready to morph into. Year 5 found that there were not only cuboids and cones, but also cubes and square based pyramids too! Some children have even started designing their own alien nets! A great job by our mathematicians!
