World Book Day Celebrations in Year 5
We started this week listening to Miss Betty read all of Key Stage 2 a book called ‘Into the Forest’ by Anthony Browne which we would later use to do our piece of writing.
On Monday we were also lucky enough to have the pleasure of a Webinar with award-winning author Jasbinder Bilan, who told us about her life, writing inspiration and gave us a fun quiz!
We also watched a live stream from the famous West End musical ‘Matilda’ where we heard characters read sections from the book and watched snippet from the show!
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 5 had the pleasure of reading with some of the younger children at Broadford.
On Thursday, we all dressed up as characters from our favourite books. Who can you find ?
